Affable Entrails (commission)

Many months ago I was commissioned (again) to make a series of Discord server icons. This is the same client who previously commissioned such gems as Enraptured Athoracophoridae and Erudite Australopithecus, so I knew I was going to be in for something interesting. Just like last time, I was given a list of phrases whose words started with E and A, then asked to illustrate them. I was given minimal direction other than the occasional explanation when I asked what some of the words meant.

I puzzled over this one a lot wondering how entrails were supposed to be affable. I suppose if you’re having digestive problems then your entrails aren’t being very nice? So I guess by that logic, if your entrails are affable then your digestive health is good.

But that’s not exactly easy to visualize, so I decided to slap one a face on some entrails and gave it a rubber hose cartoon arm with finger guns, with a winning smile for good measure.

I must say, those are some mighty affable entrails.
