This was the first design concept for my Bulbabang illustration, which I abandoned because it was too time-consuming. You can compare it with the final illustration, which retains a lot of the same elements from Viridian Beedrill’s story, but in a completely different structure.
I’m a little sad that I couldn’t fit in the newspaper, Le Monde Pokémon (“The Pokémon World”), into the final one. It’s a parody of the French newspaper, Le Monde, with a headline inspired by this TV news segment about Cyberdépendance (“cyber-addiction”) that became a meme for calling MMORPGs, meuporgs.
