Heraldry
My assumed heraldic achievement, including coat of arms and crest
- Shield
-
Or, a quatrefoil pierced and conjoined at the petals with a square voided Sable.
A heraldic recreation of my logo. It was originally the emblem of Malaszec, a fantasy-cyberpunk country I made for a collaborative worldbuilding project. The work I did there and the people I collaborated with forever changed myself and my art, so I’ve kept using the logo even though the country itself is quite dystopian. I also just think it's a cool logo.
- Crest
- A demi-faerie passant
- crined Or
- winged of a yellow-morphed Papilio glaucus Proper
- vested of a dress Sable
- holding a paintbrush Proper
- tipped of the first.
- Motto
-
Omnia amittas quae non servantur, a Latin phrase meaning You may lose everything that is unsaved.
A reminder to save your work. An alternate translation of the phrase is also possible: "May you lose everything that is unsaved," perhaps useful as a kind of curse against your enemies, as long as your enemies are using a computer.
I keep coming back to faeries as an art subject, maybe because I have an affinity for small versions of normally big things. The paintbrush, representing my art, is normal sized; the faerie is just that small.
